Airlinq partners with NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS for global IoT
A portfolio company forms a strategic alliance with one of the world's largest telecoms groups — a strong validation of our exposure to global connectivity infrastructure.
What happened
Airlinq, the connectivity business held within the Shackleton Secondaries portfolio, entered into a strategic partnership with NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS to expand the delivery of global, IoT-connected solutions across markets with diverse, country-specific telecommunications requirements.
The partnership pairs Airlinq's Autonomous Connectivity Management Platform with NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS's global reach to deliver unified SIM and connectivity management, eSIM/eUICC profile switching and in-country compliance — reducing the operational complexity of running IoT services across multiple countries and carriers, particularly across mobility sectors such as automotive and construction.
Why it matters for Gorilla Tech Capital
For Gorilla Tech Capital, the alliance underlines the quality and relevance of the platform's connectivity exposure. Global, compliant IoT connectivity is foundational to the smart-infrastructure and intelligent-mobility themes at the centre of our forward strategy, and a partnership with a tier-one telecoms group materially strengthens Airlinq's route to scale.
